Britain's Hidden War: 250,000 Girls, the UK is being taken | Sammy Woodhouse

EP 238The Mikhaila Peterson PodcastPublished June 22, 2026

We need to know about this or it’ll come to us. In this deeply urgent and horrifying episode, I spoke with activist and survivor Sammy Woodhouse (@officialsammyuk) to discuss the recently released Rape Gang Inquiry Report and expose the hidden, massive crisis that’s occurring across the UK (and areas of Europe). After surviving years of horrific exploitation, rape, abuse, and a total systemic failure by the authorities who were paid to protect her, Sammy took matters into her own hands. She exposed the largest child abuse scandal in British history, leading to a 35-year prison sentence for her abuser. The fact that she had to do this herself is shameful. Sammy has recently lead the Rape Gang Inquiry, alongside MP Rupert Lowe, that reveals a terrifying reality: an estimated 250,000 girls and women have been harmed by these institutional cover-ups and targeted Pakistani Muslim networks (on the low end). Nobody talks about it because they don’t want to be called racist. It’s insane.

Intro

Mikhaila For my 15th birthday, he took me on an armed robbery to the post office as my birthday gift.

Sammy Oh my gosh.

Mikhaila Yeah, I was beaten, [music] raped, multiple times he tried to kill me. [music]

Sammy You were on a news source and they told you not to mention who the perpetrators were.

Mikhaila He told me not to mention the race [music] of the perpetrators and I asked why.

Sammy This has affected approximately on the low end 250,000 [music] girls.

Mikhaila They was groomed, abused, raped, tortured, trafficked, criminalized, impregnated, blamed, [music] murdered.

Sammy What this looks like to me is a one-sided war that Britain [music] hasn't even realized is occurring.

Mikhaila That's exactly what it is. We're at war.

Sammy Woodhouse

Sammy Sammy Woodhouse, welcome to my podcast.

Mikhaila Uh thank you for the invite.

Sammy Well, I wish we were discussing something that wasn't so horrifying, uh but this is what's going on in the UK and what has been going on is absolutely horrific. So, I wanted to have you on because you led the rape gang inquiry report. Is that right?

Mikhaila That's right, yes.

Sammy So, I think we should start off just by you giving a brief background about who you are and what what happened to you. Let's start there.

Meeting her abuser at 14

Mikhaila I was 14 years old when I met Awash Hussain. When I met him, he was 24 years old. He was Pakistani Muslim man and he was known to authorities such as the councils, which is social care, and South Yorkshire police for being a very dangerous man. We now know he was one of the most dangerous men in the United Kingdom. I was exploited by him for several years. I went missing for days, weeks, months at a time. I was in hotels, houses, even um he took me to his home, so I even met and lived with his family as well.

Mikhaila I was abused mentally, sexually, and physically. I was made pregnant twice. First when I was 14, and then again when I was 15. When I was 14, I was forced to have a termination.

Forced pregnancies and police turning a blind eye

Mikhaila Um but I was allowed to keep my second child because the police said that they wasn't going to prosecute him. Now, of course, my parents wasn't happy, and they reported this to the police. The police came out, and they said that I was making a lifestyle choice. Now, I didn't recognize what was happening to me was abuse. You know, I thought that this man was my boyfriend. I wasn't the first he was abusing. I certainly weren't um you know, the last.

Mikhaila They was all my friends was also um you know, dating older men. Of course, it took us a very long time to recognize that, you know, we was actually being abused. But I was also coercing to committing crimes as well. So, for example, for my 15th birthday, he took me on an armed robbery to the post office as my birthday gift. But I was beaten.

Armed robbery, attempted murder, and surviving the unthinkable

Sammy Yeah, I was beaten, raped. Um multiple times he tried to kill me. So, for example, on one occasion, he dragged me into the car. He was driving very fast through two cars and into a church. There was another occasion when he said he was going to drive off a hilltop because if he could have me, then no one could. So, he was speeding me real fast towards the um edge of the hill. He slammed on the brakes.

Sammy I got out of the car, and I was physically sick. He took me to the edge and said he was going to throw me off. And at that moment, I thought my life was going to end. I was that scared, I actually wet myself. He placed in the back of the car and raped me. And I just remember being laid there. And I was crying.

Sammy And I felt like a dead body on a slab in the morgue. And I just started to change as a child. And I was no longer this happy, bubbly, confident child. I was breaking down. And the professionals that was paid to protect wasn't protecting me. I saw police officers buying drugs for me and passing on information. In my case, they even made a no prosecution deal with him.

Sammy So, what that meant was on one occasion when I was abducted, they said to him, "If you drop her off at a petrol station, you won't be prosecuted."

How a backroom deal accidentally exposed 1,400 victims

Sammy Now, that deal was actually how I exposed the rotten child abuse scandal, which showed that there was 1,400 children in my hometown. So, I'm not talking across the country. I'm talking about my small hometown. They was groomed, abused, raped, tortured, trafficked, criminalized, impregnated, blamed, murdered. And I named the Labour politician involved, your hanging act. He was actually one of his relatives. And a police officer called PC Hassan Ali.

Sammy In fact, when he got told he was going to be investigated, just hours later, he was killed. So, that is how the the scandal came to light.

Going to the police and hitting a brick wall

Sammy And I originally went to the police. Now, I'm going back. I was about 27 years old at this point. So, we're going back to 2012, 2013. But I went to the police and I said, "I want you to investigate this. You know, I want him to go to prison." So, they went away and come back and they said, "We've only got one piece of evidence."

Sammy And that was a missing person's report. And I said, "Well, I've got DNA from my son. You know, that will prove that you know, he abused me when I was a child and he was an adult." I said, "I can name the police officers involved." And there was just this brick wall that I was hitting all the time. They refused to take my son's DNA. They said the police officers weren't going to come forward because they'd lose their jobs for me.

Sammy Now, what they didn't know is that I was recording them on my mobile phone and thank God that I did.

Taking matters into her own hands

Sammy So, I went away and I started, I suppose, my own investigation. I got and collected all my own files, police, social care, education, NHS, and I contacted journalist called Andrew Norfolk at The Times newspaper and I gave him all of my evidence. So, we're talking about thousands um of pages and documents, which is funny because the police officer said that, you know, there was only one piece of evidence, so she lied. So, I gave I gave Andrew all of my evidence and in August 2013, he published my story. Now, I was known as Jessica then. I I've not waived my anonymity yet. But we named the politician him as a rapist and PC Hassan Ali as the police officer involved and it commissioned the Alexis Jay report what I've just been talking about what showed the 1,400 children, but it also opened the criminal investigation.

Sammy So, I was the first to go on record. The National Crime Agency took that over. It's actually still now um ongoing, but it's now known as the biggest investigation in history in regards to child abuse. But my uh rapist went on to be sentenced to 35 years. Um he's still in prison now. And so, um I've been an activist ever since.

35 years behind bars and 14 years of activism

Sammy So, that's 14 years ago. And I've just tried everything in my power to expose this. I've done lots of different government exposures. In 2018, I exposed that the family courts were allowing these rapists contact and custody to our children. I fought that to change a law, which has been successful. It doesn't protect all children, so I am still fighting that. But they they have started to bring that in and I wanted to give children born of rape a voice, you know, for people like my son because what I was seeing is that they had no rights.

Sammy You know, they had they had absolutely no support whatsoever. But um so yeah, I've been working to change policies, laws, secure funding, as you say, absolutely anything I can to, you know, try and make a difference in the country because what's been happening isn't something of the past. It's something that is happening right now and it's not just in my hometown. It is all over the United Kingdom, as the report shows. But through my activism, I met a politician called MP Rupert Law. Now, this was probably about 16-18 months ago.

MP Rupert Lowe enters Parliament and changes everything

Sammy And um I got to know Rupert and he phoned me up and he said, "Okay, what do I need to know about what's been happening?" And he walked straight into Parliament and he raised it in the House of Commons. And I suppose all hell broke loose over the things that he was saying. But um he's been relentless in his fight ever since and that's why I've got so much respect for him. So, we launched the inquiry because our government didn't want to do an inquiry. Now, you've probably heard of Elon Musk. He's been very vocal about what's been happening in our country and about our work on the inquiry.

Sammy And you know, when people like Elon with such a huge platform have put so much pressure on the government, they cave. They do now doing a national inquiry. But our been has been funded by about 20,000 people. We've secured about 6-700,000 pound now. We've only got a small team, but we are trying to do what we can. We've now published our report back in February. We had 2 weeks of hearings where we had testimony from survivors, families, whistleblowers.

Sammy The next stage is we are going to be naming people in parliament, and we are going to be doing private prosecutions. Now, we've already started criminal investigations from the inquiry. We've also started legal action against services such as the NHS and police and social care to ensure that survivors have got compensation. You know, to try and cover some of the trauma what they've been through. We're helping people move home to safety because some of these survivors are being housed in the exact same streets as their rapists. It's absolutely disgusting of what's going off in our country.

Mikhaila Wow. Okay. Well,

Sammy [laughter]

Mikhaila that's horrible. I'm so sorry that you've experienced that. I like I don't even have words to explain how terrible it is.

The inquiry report's shocking findings

Mikhaila What you guys found uh in the report was this has affected approximately on the low end 250,000 girls, women. That's insane. I I read some reports uh of other mass rapes in war because what this looks like to me is a one-sided war that Britain hasn't even realized is occurring.

Sammy Yeah, I'm glad you said that cuz that's exactly what it is. We're at war.

Mikhaila Yeah, this seeks kind of secret war or people are trying to hide from the reality of the situation. But, just to give people some numbers, there was um the Bangladesh Liberation War and the estimates are 200 to 400 Bengali women and girls were raped, which is similar numbers to what we're seeing here. And then there was people might be familiar with Rape of Nanking. That's like a famous event. That which I heard about a lot, I think, from my dad as a kid, that was 20 to 80,000 women and girls. So the mass scale of this, it is is literally war-like. And I cannot believe that it's not all over the news.

Mikhaila Epstein was all over the news. That was That was nothing compared to this. Uh and what Sorry, go ahead.

Sammy Um you know, we've we've been able to show that this is going back from as early as the 1950s and there's no doubt in my mind it'll be earlier than that. But um people think that this is, you know, something that's just stopped and you think of the past. I can assure you it's not. It's probably far worse now than what it's ever been. But what we also have to remember is that majority of these perpetrators were Pakistani Muslim men and everybody's absolutely terrified to to tackle that. I think it's 87% of people convicted through the courts have Muslim names. Um so in fact

Sammy

Mikhaila I just I just saw you were on um you were on a news source, I can't remember what it is. I'm very pregnant and I have almost no brain, but you were on a news source and they told you not to mention who the perpetrators were, which you didn't do. But can you explain what happened there?

Sammy Yes, so this was recently. This was I think it was yesterday. There's a program called Good Morning Britain. It's a morning TV show, very very known in the UK.

The demographic no one wants to talk about

Sammy And I was about to do a live appearance on there talking about It was actually another case, not about Arbury Park. But, I was briefed beforehand, and he told me not to mention the race of the perpetrators. And I asked why. And he said, "Oh, it's for legal reasons." And I said, "But, it's been proven in courts of law and in official reports." And he said, "Oh, oh, it's just off com." And I said, "Well, okay."

Sammy But, whilst I was on that interview, you know, I I did mention the fact that majority of perpetrators are Pakistani Muslim men, because that's that's, you know, that's just a fact. That's proven.

Being silenced live on Good Morning Britain

Sammy And um yeah, I told him live on air that I had been briefed not to mention the race, and I told him how disgusted I was and how disrespectful it was. You know, people like himself have been silenced for decades. And to be told that I can't mention his race or their race is just absolutely disgraceful.

Mikhaila Well, after what happened to you and what's happening to Yeah, to be like, "Oh, don't offend them." is insane. This whole thing is is crazy.

Sammy When I was actually a child, and I've I've got the record for this. I've got a lot of evidence. Um they had a child protection meeting about me. So, that's when all the services come together, you know, to put a focus on on safe safeguarding me. They actually fetched in a professional to ensure that no one was being racist towards him. So, you know, the the racial element to it was always there. Um yeah, it's just absolutely crazy.

Sammy

Mikhaila So, you said the plan going forward Well, mainstream media isn't talking about this yet, although they should be all over it.

Naming names and pursuing private prosecutions

Mikhaila Uh the plan going forward is to start naming names, which I think is completely appropriate. So, what does that look like?

Sammy Well, in the reports, some names are mentioned, but what we are now going to do, we're going to put that evidence together. Rupert is going to go in and use parliamentary privilege to name some of those people involved. We are going to be careful, you know, because what we don't want to do is produce any criminal cases. I mean, I've I've got very strong feelings on that because, you know, people say we can't name people, we can't put any information out in case it jeopardizes anything. Well, in my case, I named them and it exposed the biggest child abuse scandal in our history. It didn't affect court. There was He actually received a high sentence in our history at that time for child sexual exploitation cases.

Sammy So, I think my my case proves that it can be done, but I think we have weak judges. So, you know, you know, everything and anything can jeopardize it. So, yeah, we are going to be careful. We are going to be working with a legal team. Obviously, our survivors and the participants are going to be at the forefront. We will never do anything that they don't want to do. But if they are saying to us, well, we want them named and we want private prosecutions, then that's what we need to try and do.

Sammy Oh. I think people are thinking about You guys are doing things the right way. But people who are trying to be careful at this point, it's gone so far past

Mikhaila [laughter]

Sammy I I tweeted something out the other day that said, you know, how how far kind of does a society have to fall before everybody is on up in arms? Like before there's some sort of civil war. And then started looking into the stats and it was like, oh, probably from their perspective, this is a conquering war. That seems to be what's happening. Do you have any idea how much of the court system and police officers have been kind of overtaken by this already? How do you mean? I mean, are there people who are aware this is going on and allowing it to happen in the police system and in the court system.

Sammy So that

Mikhaila Yes.

Sammy Like how much of it? How much of those systems are um I don't really know what the right word is for, but how much of those systems are have fallen, I guess.

How far up does the corruption go

Mikhaila We have corruption in all services and that's what our report proves. You know, it was the education, it was social care, policing. I mean, our evidence shows that in um as early as 1999, they knew and this is the home office knew as well. So it goes right to the very top. They knew their entire operations. They knew the perpetrators were, the victims, where they met them, the car registration plates, the hotels they were taking, the takeaways and restaurants. They knew absolutely everything.

Mikhaila And then also let's remember, children were born from this. They had DNA. And you know, absolutely nothing, you know, has been done. There's not been one professional in our country that has been held to account. Now, I even met David Cameron who was the then Prime Minister back in 2015. I've I've met with all the ministers. I met Suella Braverman when she was the Home Secretary.

Mikhaila No political party can tell me that they didn't know about this. You know, you have our Labour government we we we now have a Labour government, but this was happening under Labour councils. Labour politicians were involved. So they are massively held responsible for this. How anyone can vote for Labour is just absolutely beyond me. But then you have the Conservatives that's been in power for well over a decade and did very, very little. Then we've got Reform led by Nigel Farage that's saying, you know, he originally said he was going to do an inquiry, then said he wouldn't and then he said, you know, he got some advice from Maggie Oliver not to do it.

Mikhaila Now, why on earth he's listened to that advice is beyond me. So, what he's now saying is, "Well, if you vote for us, when we get to the next general general election we get elected, we will then do something." We don't have time to wait for 3 years. Children have been raped, trafficked, and murdered. And again, that's why I respect Paul so so much. He just got up, he did it, and he has just been absolutely relentless in his fight. The guy's a legend.

Mikhaila

Sammy Do you think are people not interested in looking into it? I know it's to be perceived as racist, and I think we're way past that. But, is it also because they're worried about losing votes?

Mikhaila Yes, sir. You know, that's that's what what Labour was doing. They need the Muslim vote. So, of course he can't, you know, upset Muslim or dare speak against Islam. And so, a lot of people was was told that, you know, you can't talk about it cuz it makes you racist and Islamophobic. I mean, I get called racist all the time.

Why politicians from every party failed to act

Mikhaila Do you know what's actually funny about it? You know, I was the one that was targeted for my race. I actually thought I was enough with him. I didn't even care about his race. So, you know, no one calls him racist, you know, and all these perpetrators, you know, they don't get called every name under the sun. It's always us. But yeah, you know, I've been called that many names, racist, Islamophobic.

Mikhaila I don't care. I think we're past that point now in in the UK. I mean, Keir Starmer, he openly said that, you know, we was racist and far-right thugs. It They're absolutely despicable, and we're just at the point now where we're not going to rely on the state to do something about this. You know, we've we're funded by the public. We're going to do it ourselves.

Sammy Well, good for you guys. It's definitely necessary. It's so unfortunate that you had to go through what you went through and have to lead the resistance against it. That's insane.

Mikhaila It is. I mean, I should, you know, after what I've been through,

Sammy Yeah.

Mikhaila I should be living life. I shouldn't be the one having to fight this and and expose it. This is what our paid professionals are for. This is what our politicians are for. They're meant to be leading, you know, their constituents and, you know, doing what's best and and protecting people.

Sammy Yeah. Agreed. Is there a type of person, because you said you were targeted because of your race? So, is there a type of person that's targeted in these rapes?

Mikhaila Well, that was one of the reasons.

A message to British men

Mikhaila I mean, what it shows is that majority were white British children. But, I always say that no child is off-limits and other communities were targeted. So, the report again speaks about the Sikh community. So, they was targeting Sikh children. Now, what happened with the Sikh community when when the children were targeted, the men came out to to protect them. And some of those men actually went to prison. We didn't have that.

Mikhaila You know, what what I what message I want to say to say to our men is, you know, stand up. You You know, you've got to kind of come out there and fight for the children. And And some did, and they was arrested and um you know, they tried to get children their children out the homes and stuff. But, I kind of just feel like our men let us down a little bit.

Sammy Yeah. That I mean, I think that's reasonable. So, I I had um Sammy on my podcast last year to talk about this. Not Sammy, sorry, Samantha Smith.

Mikhaila Yes, I know Samantha.

Sammy Because there was this it kind of you know, blew up on X and Elon helped with that.

Mikhaila Yes.

Sammy And looked horrifying. And then I did a podcast about it and then it felt like nothing changed in the government, which was really really unsettling. But, then Rupert Lowe came out and you guys have been doing this inquiry. Thank goodness. Uh anyway, it's it's it's awful. Is there anything else that you want to tell people who are in the US and cuz the majority of my audience is in the US and Canada. But I feel like you see this happening in the UK, but it's not just because there's something necessarily special about the UK.

Sammy It's just you had a lot of immigrants from Pakistan move in with a completely different culture in a really serious way.

Warnings for the US and other Western countries

Sammy Um so are there warnings you could give to other societies because like I said, I don't think I think it could happen elsewhere.

Mikhaila Oh, absolutely. The trafficking of children, you know, this happens all over the world. But what I would say, and this won't solve all your problems, but it it will certainly help, is um you know, don't allow immigrants into the borders and um don't allow Islam in either because, you know, Islam has played a huge role in this. You know, the perpetrators were reading scriptures from the Quran whilst raping, you know, the children. I mean, I could I could sit here and and talk all night about this. So what I would say to people is go get our report. It's available online.

Mikhaila Read the report. Educate yourselves, research it, and you know, share as much information as you possibly can.

Sammy That sounds good. And I'll link the report in the description, so it'll be on YouTube and Spotify for everybody cuz it's free to read. It is it's a horror it's horrifying. It's very uncomfortable, but people should be aware that this is what happens when you import and I think Islam is a big like a big part of the problem. Like you said, they're reading scripture. They think it's What did I read? They think that it's like ordained almost.

Sammy It's definitely not frowned upon. What percentage of the community do you think is aware of this? The Pakistani community.

Mikhaila They was aware and I think with in fact I was saying this earlier, with for example the Muslim community or the Sikh community or the Jewish, I think they tend to deal with things themselves in house as we as a white community, we I think are a little bit more vocal and go to to try and work with services. Um so I think you know we we as a white community need to start and do, you know, a little bit more ourselves and stop being so reliant on the state. But the the Muslim community knew in fact the im- imams were actually involved cuz they weren't just, you know, raping and torturing the children. They was used as slaves. They was even getting married by the imams. They was actually trafficked outside of the UK as well. So yeah, they they knew.

Mikhaila I mean I personally think Islam is a very violent and sexist religion.

Sammy I think if anyone doesn't think that, they're not thinking.

Mikhaila Yeah. Yeah. [laughter]

Sammy Like they're like, "No. Oh no, it's full of women's freedom." Like

Mikhaila [laughter]

Sammy Have you seen it? Have you Have you looked at people who are Muslim?

Mikhaila I actually lived as a Muslim woman when I was in a domestic violence relationship. And it was just barbaric. How anyone can say, you know, that women you know, have rights and and live a a great, you know, kind of I don't know what the the right word is, but yeah, it's it's just barbaric.

Sammy Yeah, and I think some places cuz people you will use Dubai as an example and I've spent time in Dubai. I do like Dubai. But I don't think that's representative of what Islam is like. Like the nice areas in Dubai it's just it's not representative of of what the religion is like honestly at its core. And you can read that in the texts.

Mikhaila Yeah, I mean I I know Muslims that they don't really kind of live by the crime. I mean they call themselves Muslim, but they don't you know they all kind of live in more of a western way of life.

Sammy Yeah.

Mikhaila Um yeah.

Sammy Yeah. And lovely people too. It's not everybody, but to import that into a western society, it doesn't seem to go very well.

Mikhaila And the same thing you know when when we say that majority of the people committing you know these types of crimes are Pakistani Muslim men. You know that doesn't mean it's all Pakistani Muslims men. We always have to say that. You know it's when we say in the UK that pedophilia is committed more by white men. You know as a white person, I don't get offended by that. As you know I don't think oh my god they're tarnishing all white people and I don't have to say well not all white people. But when we talk about Pakistani Muslims, we do have to always say oh well not everyone.

Mikhaila

Sammy Yeah, well I think we're past that.

Mikhaila Yeah. We should be able just to have open and honest conversations about what's going on. I mean I was talking to a Pakistani Muslim the other day and he was kind of like you know well I'd love to work with you in future, but I can't cuz you know you're you're kind of branded as as far right. So you know it might affect me like getting elected or something. So you know how can we expect to tackle this issue if you're not even willing to stand up? Because if if we you know kind of stand back and do nothing, I promise you it's going to escalate. It's going to get far far worse than what it is now and no one will be safe.

Mikhaila

Sammy Yeah.

How to follow Sammy and support the inquiry

Sammy Well Sammy, I know you have interviews lined up and thank goodness for that and I hope mainstream news starts taking this seriously. Uh and I'm so sorry for what you've gone through and are continuing to fight for cuz it's it's 2026. It seems like this is a Middle Ages issue.

Mikhaila Yeah.

Sammy It's it's absurd. So, if anybody wants to I guess donate, follow along, support, where should where should they go?

Mikhaila Well, if he's anything to do with the inquiry, he's MP Luke Pollard is on all social media platforms. I'm also on social media as well, so people can follow me. The link to the report is on there as well. And yeah, it'd be great if, you know, everyone just follows the work of what we're doing, support, share. The more awareness, the more we do to educate people, the better.

Sammy Yeah. Well, thank you. Thank you very much for coming on. Good luck with everything.

Mikhaila Thank you, and thank you for having me.
