Alex Epstein is a philosopher, author, and founder of the Center for Industrial Progress. His NYT bestseller The Moral Case for Fossil Fuels argued that human flourishing actually requires the use of fossil fuels. Dr. Andrew Dessler is a professor of Atmospheric Sciences at Texas A&M. He wrote The Science and Politics of Global Climate Change: A Guide to the Debate, explaining how science is (mis)used in politics.
In this episode of Opposing Views, I was joined by Peter Schiff and Robert Breedlove to discuss Bitcoin. We covered a range of topics like decentralization, the US dollar, and the risks involved with cryptocurrencies becoming increasingly popular. Both guests gave their opinion on whether Bitcoin is better than gold as a value standard – a prickly question because you have to consider, among other things, market forces, security, scarcity, inflation, and the potential for a new financial crisis.
This is another opposing views episode where I speak with two people who have opposing views on contentious subjects. This is my favourite format of episode and one I’ll be focusing on. In this episode, I spoke with Dan Gross and Dr. John R. Lott about gun control in America.

Welcome to the Mikhaila Peterson Podcast. This is a bit of a different style episode. Last month, there was big news about Pornhub. Visa and Mastercard dropped them for apparently hosting child pornography and in response, Pornhub removed all non-verified videos, a total of over ten million videos. I decided to have a couple of people on to discuss whether or not porn and sex work is dangerous, harmful, and addictive or whether it’s a natural thing that should be decriminalized and even encouraged.
