Aiming up.

Mikhaila Fuller is the co-founder and chief executive of Peterson Academy, an online education platform created to make higher education ideology-free, accessible, and affordable to anyone with an internet connection. Since launching the public beta in September 2024, more than fifty thousand students have enrolled.

She is also a researcher, a podcaster, a business owner, and a wife and mother of 3 — not in that order.

While overcoming severe autoimmunity in her early twenties, Mikhaila developed the Lion Diet — a strict plant-free ketogenic protocol that has since helped tens of thousands of patients manage autoimmune and mood disorders. The first peer-reviewed research delving into the diet's therapeutic benefit on RA and IBD is currently underway.

Today, she runs three companies, a research foundation, and a podcast.. The Full Biography

About · Biography

Aiming up…

Mikhaila Fuller, formerly Peterson, is a founder, CEO, podcaster, chronic disease and diet researcher, wife, mother of three, and speaker.

Mikhaila Peterson
Chapter One

The early years.

From age two, Mikhaila battled severe juvenile idiopathic arthritis in thirty-seven joints, diagnosed at age seven; major depressive disorder, diagnosed at twelve; and idiopathic hypersomnia at fourteen. She was treated with psychiatric medications and immunosuppressants but ended up needing both hip and ankle replacements at seventeen.

At twenty-three, in 2015, she put herself into remission by adopting a strict paleo-style diet she came up with, eliminating eight medications in the process. Unfortunately that rapid taper led to two and a half years of intense antidepressant withdrawal — a period she describes as the most difficult of her life, and the origin of everything that followed.

Chapter Two

The Lion Diet.

In 2017, she developed the Lion Diet — a plant-free, ruminant-meat-based ketogenic elimination diet — to address lingering health issues and withdrawal symptoms. The diet has since helped tens of thousands of people manage autoimmune and psychiatric disorders, obesity, and severe food sensitivities.

Guides, research, and resources live at liondiet.com. In 2026, the first clinical study is being run, delving into the efficacy of this and ketogenic diets on RA and IBD.

Chapter Three

The podcast.

Since 2018, Mikhaila has managed her father Jordan B. Peterson's brand — overseeing PR, strategy, and social media. In 2020, she launched The Mikhaila Peterson Podcast, covering health, relationships, and psychology.

Her recurring series, Opposing Views, features experts debating contentious topics on equal footing — designed to train the audience in critical thinking rather than deliver a verdict.

Chapter Four

The companies.

In 2022, she founded Fuller Health — a supplement company committed to pure, non-toxic formulations. The first product, After Party, alleviates hangover symptoms by helping the body break down acetaldehyde. No fillers, no excipients, nothing unnecessary.

In 2023, she launched biotoxin.com to help people navigate illnesses caused by environmental toxins such as mold, after realizing that was likely behind the origin of her health issues.

And in 2024 she co-founded and launched Peterson Academy — an online university offering affordable, ideology-free, eight-hour courses from top professors, with a built-in social layer so students learn alongside each other. Over fifty thousand students enrolled in the beta.

In 2025 she started Fuller Research Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to advancing the science of lifestyle intervention for chronic disease. It's currently running its first clinical trial: Effectiveness and Efficacy of a Ketogenic or Carnivore (Lion) Diet for Quality of Life and Symptom Burden in Individuals with Symptomatic Inflammatory Bowel Disease or Rheumatoid Arthritis — A Randomized Controlled Clinical Trial.

In 2026, after her father suffered from a recurrence of akathisia from old neurological damage due to previous years of psychiatric medications, she published prescribed-harm.com to bring awareness to long-term neurological dysfunction and injury caused by commonly prescribed psychiatric medications. See the Companies page for more information.

Chapter Five

The mission.

Mikhaila's goal is to encourage people to become resilient, and to recognize how much control they actually have over their own lives — to take responsibility for their physical and mental health, and to understand that they have the power to improve their circumstances regardless of the cards they've been dealt.

She also intends to fund further research into plant-free ketogenic diets as treatments for chronic disease, through the Fuller Research Foundation.

The only person out there that can change your life is you. The good news is, you're capable of that. The bad news is, it's all on you.
