Mohamedou Ould Slahi spent 14 years in Guantanamo Bay without being charged. His story was made into a Hollywood movie earlier this year called The Mauritanian starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Jodie Foster. This guy has been through absolute hell. We spoke about the series of unfortunate events that resulted in his imprisonment and torcher for 14 years at Guantanamo Bay as an innocent man. He’s unbelievably positive considering the horrors he’s been through so we talked about how he managed to stay sane and positive.
