I have Ankylosing Spondilytis and I have had great success with the carnivore diet. Specifically, due to starving starch/sugar loving intestinal flora & removing foods that alter gut permeability. Below is my list of research references. Anyone with autoimmunity, and in particular, arthritic forms, should read these.

I am just going to add, be careful if you have AS and choosing between meat and fish. Genetics may play a large role in which one you eat and how it will change inflammation. I have AS in my family and my brother went paleo (i know, not full carnivore but still) and he ended up with AS. There is a lot of evidence that Long Chain Omega 3 helps with AS.October 21, 2018 at 7:37 pm #1686
